Strong powder-coated internal supports deliver a 275 lb dynamic weight rating, and a static rating of 770 lb, providing confidence for gear, racks, and other accessories. Electronic latching enables remote central locking via the vehicle’s OEM key fob, locking or unlocking all Truck Cap latches with the doors. For added security, the Truck Cap auto-locks if the vehicle is unlocked but no doors are opened.
 
A manual rear-door key override ensures access if keys are lost or the battery is flat, while a yellow anti-entrapment dial allows locking or unlocking from inside the Truck Cap. Premium 5 mm thick frameless tinted safety glass features a 28% visual light transmission dark grey tint, meeting international standards while protecting cargo from UV exposure and prying eyes.
 
Double-curved rear and side windows, an invisible hinge system, and a clear lift-up front window enhance visibility and clean styling. Lift-up side windows are gas-strut supported, with a Vent Catch allowing lift-up or pop-out adjustment. A slimline high-flow Truck Cap vent compatible with roof racks pressurizes the interior to reduce dust ingress.

REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING
The Ascent’s electronic latching system delivers seamless central locking convenience. Using the vehicle’s key fob, the truck cap's latch locks and unlocks in sync with the vehicle doors. Integrated directly with the factory locking system, the Ascent truck cap will also automatically re-lock if the vehicle is unlocked but no doors are opened providing added peace of mind with autonomous security.
 
For backup access, a manual key override is discreetly located on the rear door, ensuring entry to the tub if the vehicle remote is lost or the battery runs flat.
 
Inside the cap, a high-visibility yellow anti-entrapment dial allows the rear door to be safely locked or unlocked from within.

The Ascent cap is equipped with lift-up side windows for easy access to the bed, with gas struts providing smooth, self-supported opening.
 
For added versatility, an optional Vent Catch allows the window to be set in either a full lift-up or pop-out position, accommodating a wide range of storage and ventilation needs.
 
HIGH-FLOW TRUCK CAP VENT
A slimline, high-flow canopy vent comes standard on the Ascent, helping reduce dust ingress. Positioned to face the front of the vehicle, the vent pressurizes the canopy interior, limiting dust entry through the rear door or tailgate.
 
The low-profile design also allows the vent to be fitted with roof racks or roof bars installed, without compromising function or fit.
