The Wind Deflector serves to shield the flame against the wind when used outdoors, but also prevents the flame and heat from escaping too fast. This careful and elaborate design helps to improve heating efficiency. 1 liter of water boils in about three minutes and a typical outdoor Butane Canister lasts up to 2 hours.
