Striking Tool - The polySTRIKER™ has a very hard and very sharp tungsten carbide insert for superior spark production. To keep everything neat and tidy, the striker snaps into the body of the polySTRIKER™ when not in use.

3/16" Ferrocerium Rod - The included Ferro rod is small and lightweight yet strong enough to hold up to regular use. It is waterproof, simply pat it dry before striking.

Flammable Lanyard (New!) - Now, all of our included lanyards are made from 550 FireCord™. Simply strip black the outer sheath to reveal an inner red strand that can be ignited from a spark and burns like a candle!

Ultra-light Polymer Design - Weighing in at less than 0.5oz (142g), there is no excuse not to have one in your pack!
Use:
The ferrocerium rod creates extremely hot burning metal shavings and sparks ideal for starting fires with flammable tinder, rain or shine. This is done by the frictional heat created when quickly scraping material from the rod.

1. Unscrew the striker and rod from the handle
2. Flip the rod holder around and screw back onto handle
3. Grip the striker between index finger and thumb
4. Place the striker onto the rod. For best results, use a 45 degree angle. When the striker is angled correctly it will bit into the rod
5. In one quick movement, scrape the striker down the rod as though trying to carve material from the ferrocerium rod
