Ford Ranger Recovery Point
ARB has developed a recovery point that can be fitted to either the left-hand or right-hand side of the Ford Ranger chassis. The recovery points have been designed to fit with the original equipment stone guard, or in conjunction with ARB Under Vehicle Protection.
To ensure there are no inappropriate forces exerted on the shackle during an angled recovery, the Recovery Point has a long slot that allows the recommended 9500lb bow shackle to be fed through and the 17600lb strap attached via the pin instead of the bow. This distributes the recovery force evenly through the shackle to avoid side loads on the pin.
ABOUT ARB RECOVERY POINTS
An ARB recovery point for your vehicle can address the issues surrounding OE and generic aftermarket tow points and their unsuitability for a range of recovery situations. ARB’s engineers have developed the recovery point in conjunction with standard bumpers and ARB protection bumpers to use points within the chassis to achieve a 17,500lbs rating. Four mount points are included per recovery point to ensure that there is no torsional twist on angled pulls.
Each ARB recovery point includes an engineered ‘Recovery Train’ in which each vehicle specific recovery point is rated for use with a 4.75t rated bow shackle and 17,500lbs snatch strap. For peace of mind and safety, ARB recovery points are a reliable solution.
The recovery point has been designed to either work with the factory front bumper, factory skid plates, ARB bumper and ARB skid plate systems.
